OBITUARY

NAME: Sarah Montine (Brooks) Ragan, age 75, a longtime Atoka, OK resident.

BORN: She was born on Saturday, December 14, 1940, to James Thomas "Tom" and M.E. Lillian (Ray) Brooks, at Mt. Pleasant, AR.

PASSED AWAY: Sarah passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Hugo, OK.

AGE: 75 years, 8 months and 27 days.

EDUCATION: She attended Mt. Pleasant High School in Arkansas.

OCCUPATION: Sarah was a homemaker and a housewife. In her younger years she picked cotton and grapes among other things.

MARRIED: She married Joseph Thomas Ragan on July 19, 1958 at Guion, Ar. They had 42 wonderful years together before he preceded her in death on November 21, 2000.

CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Sarah was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed reading her Bible everyday, gardening, quilting, sewing, making cloths working in her flower beds, volunteering in the church and visiting with her family.

GRANDCHILDREN:         Ronald & Melissa's two daughters, Quin Ragan and Elley Ragan

Cendy & Johnny's two daughters and one son, Linda Martin, Johnny Martin Jr., Sarah Martin

GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Tanner Gregory, Haze and Case Magby, Anothey Martin

BROTHER:                          Gerald Brooks and wife Ruth of Washington

SISTERS:                              Dorthey Clayton of Arkansas

Fay Holbrooks and husband Larry of Blysthville, AR

Sharon Hull and husband Rick of Washington

Frankie Begin and husband Bob of Arkansas

GRAND SON IN LAW:      Heath Magby of Stringtown, OK

along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
