Shaina Nicole (Mansell) Settlemires, age 24, a lifelong Atoka, OK area resident, was born on Wednesday, May 09, 1990, to Marisa Larain Mansell, at Denison, TX. Shaina passed away on Friday, September 12, 2014 at Tulsa, OK. She attended school at Stringtown High School and graduated from Murray State College in the Vet Tech program. Shaina was a Vet Tech for Dr. Shannon Martin at Atoka Vet Clinic. She married Jeremy Todd Settlemires on September 5, 2009 at Stringtown, OK. Shaina was affiliated with Victory Life in Atoka. She was a member of Okla. Assoc. of Vet. Technicians, Atoka Trailriders, The Flying C Rodeo Company of Madill, she was the team leader of the J-Bar Rodeo Team; and Professional Assoc of Therapeutic Horsemanship. Shaina loved spending time with her son Justice and dog Tess and her friends and family; horses, roping and rodeoing and working with young horses. She loved life and greeted everyone with a hug. She excelled in everything she attempted. Shaina is survived by her son, Justice Colt Settlemires of the home; mother, Marisa Mansell of Stringtown, OK; brother, Jacob Michael Lansdale of Stringtown, OK; grandparents, Sybil and Billy Brooks of Calera, OK; grandmother, Casandra Sue Yandell of Commerce, GA; nieces, Halli McKay Lansdale of Stringtown, OK, Laruisa Lansdale of Stringtown, OK; uncles, Randy Mansell and wife Tammy of Greenwood, AR, Mark Mansell and wife Connie of Farris, OK, Luke Seabourne of Commerce, GA; aunt, Sandy Scarborough Lanphear and husband David of Jefferson, GA; boyfriend, Tadd Holcomb of Lane, OK; along with numerous cousins other relatives and many special friends. Shaina is preceded in death by her grandfather, Darwin Mansell ; uncle, Jeffrey Dar Mansell; aunts, Carla Darnese Mansell, Gina Karon Mansell.
