Sharon Kay Givens, age 75, a Stringtown, OK and a lifelong Atoka County resident. She was born on Monday, September 26, 1949, to Johnny Marion and Betty Ruth (Goff) Reeves, at Atoka, OK. Sharon passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at her home Stringtown, OK. She attended Miller Public Schools and Ft. Towson Public Schools. She graduated from Stringtown High School with the Class of 1967. Sharon worked as a secretary for the Atoka County Health Department, Elder Care Program, and retired from the Department of Corrections Records department. She married William Givens on Wednesday, April 15th, 1967 at Stringtown, OK. They enjoyed 57 years together before her passing. Sharon was a member of the Stringtown Baptist Church. She liked to read, do yard work and visit with her family. The most important thing in her life was her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
Sharon is survived by her husband, William Givens of the home in Stringtown, OK; mother, Betty Ruth Reeves of Stringtown, OK; sons, Ricky Joe Givens of Durant OK, Bryan Kieth Givens of Stringtown, OK, Tommy James Givens and wife Ashley of Atoka, OK; daughters-in-law Nancy Givens of Stringtown, OK, Rhonda Givens of Stringtown, OK; grandson, Dusty Givens and wife Sharawn of Tushka, OK, Wesley Givens and partner Caitlin of Oklahoma City, OK; granddaughter, Heather Givens Stephens and husband Spencer of Durant, OK, Brittany McBride and husband Morgan of Stringtown, OK; great grandkids, Kinsler Givens, Whitley Givens, Wyatt McBride, Casey McBride, Lucas McBride, Hogan Stephens, Henley Stephens, Zaylie Givens; brothers, Billy Reeves and wife Loretta of Stringtown, OK, Jay Reeves and wife LaJoy of Stringtown, OK; brother-in-law, Artie Staggs; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, of the Goff and Reeves families.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Lillian Reeves, Rufus and Irene Goff; father, Johnny Reeves.
