Shawn Micheal Edwards, age 37, an Atoka, OK resident, was born on Thursday, November 28, 1985, to Gene Edwards and Marion Parsons, at Muskogee, OK. Shawn passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Atoka, OK. He graduated from High School in Colorado. Shawn was a chef at El Adobe. He enjoyed drawing, writing poems, spending time with family being outdoors, and being a chef.
Shawn is survived by his mother, Marion Bicknell and husband Jimmy of Atoka, OK; sisters, Alicia Burris and husband Justin of Lehigh, OK, Crystal Edwards of Atoka, OK, Amanda of NM; brother, Jermey Burris of MO; nieces, Trina and Tessa White of Atoka, OK, Tearra White of Durant, OK; nephews, Benjamin Scroggins of Atoka, OK, Perry Scroggins of Stringtown, OK; great niece and nephew, Reyna and Raellyn of Stringtown, OK, Josiah Scroggins of Stringtown, OK; grandparents, June Farsons of South Carolina, Johnny Edwards of Arizona; aunts, Elizabeth Parsons of Denver, CO, Sammie Maxey of Durant, OK, Robin Conner of SC; uncles, Kevin Edwards of NM, Don Cox of Aurora, CO; cousins, Jason Allmen, Alysha Allmen, Whitney Williams, Lashana WIlliams, Rihanna Williams, Charles Bayles, Clarence Bayles, Wilda Bayles, Echo Edwards, Tiffany Edwards, DJ Cox, Miranda Cox; very special friend, Jill Kenyon; along with numerous loved family and dear friends.
