Sherry Lynn Burleson, age 62, a longtime Atoka, OK resident. She was born on Thursday, May 16, 1963, to Speedy and Geraldine (Criner) Gamble, at Oklahoma City, OK. Sherry passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Atoka, OK. She attended Ardmore High School then later became a CNA. Sherry was a homemaker and housewife. She married James Odie Burleson on Friday, January 19th, 1979 at Gainesville, TX. They celebrated over 52 years together.

Sherry was of the Pentecostal faith, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and spoiling them. Going to garage sales, working in the garden, and flowerbeds. She especially loved ivy's. Sherry loved fishing, especially catfishing, in the dark. Her favorite thing to do was going to the casino with her husband.

Sherry was survived by her husband, James Odie Burleson. of the home in Atoka, OK; daughter, Kay Henbest and Roger Viss of Atoka, OK; son, Bo Burleson of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, Chloe Campbell of Atoka, OK, Karlie Cambell of Tupelo, OK, Braelyn Smith of Atoka, OK,
Rider Smith of Atoka, OK. Liston Ray of Roff, OK, Hennessey Henbest of Atoka, OK, Braxton Burleson of Caddo, OK, Blakelynn Burleson of Caddo, OK; great grandson, Bodie Wade Clinton of Atoka, OK; brother, Jake Gamble of Ardmore, OK; aunt, Helen Criner Samples of Paoli, OK
Along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear, and loved friends.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Speedy and Geraldine (Criner) Gamble; daughter, Jennifer Burleson; mother-in-law, Leah Burleson.
