Sherry Elaine Carter, age 73, an Atoka, OK resident and long time Van Alstyne, TX resident, was born on Wednesday, November 30, 1949, to Richard and Dorothy (Hogue) Carter, at Dallas, TX. Sherry passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Atoka, OK. Sherry attended Dallas Public Schools. Later she received a Bachelor's Degree in design. Sherry was a Legal Secretary for attorneys. She also managed a designer clothing store. She was of the Baptist faith. Sherry loved to shop, read, craft, and design.

Sherry is survived by her nephew, Cliff Bradford and wife Mary of Lane, OK; great nephews, Montana Bradford and wife Marissa of Lane, OK, Caselyn Mofield of Lane, OK, Kolton Mofield of Lane, OK; great niece, Jazlyn Jolene Bradford of Lane, OK; brother in law, Norman Bradford of Atoka, OK

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Dorothy (Hogue) Carter; sister, Melissa Gail Clymer.
