Sherry June (Moore) Burleson, age 72, a Durant, OK resident for the past 20 years, formerly an Atoka County resident, was born on Wednesday, March 6, 1946, to J.D. Moore Jr. and Freddie June (Glover) Moore, at .
Sherry passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 at her home in Durant, OK. She attended Forest Hill School and Atoka High School. Sherry was a homemaker, a beautician, co-owned Bride and Groom Wedding Shop and a cake decorator until 2010. She married Jack Burleson Jr. on Saturday, July 14th, 1962 at Atoka, OK. They had 52 wonderful years together. Sherry was a member of Atoka Full Gospel Church. She enjoyed sewing, cake decorating, and loved taking care of her grandbabies.
Sherry is survived by her daughter, Kelly King and husband Randy of Durant, OK; grandchildren, Ambri Fuller and husband Tyler of Moyers, OK, Baily King of Stringtown, OK; great grandchildren, Brealee King, Tamara Jane Fuller; sister, Jackie Riley of Atoka, OK; brother, Barney Moore of Atoka, OK; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear and loved friends.
Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Freddie June (Glover) Moore Jr.; husband, Jack Burleson Jr.; son, Randy Burleson; brother, Tyrus Moore ; father and mother in law, Jack Burleson Sr. and Velma Lang Speegle.; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
