Sheryl Louise (Barris) Arnold, age 70, a Port Aransas, TX resident since 1989, formerly of Atoka, OK, was born on Monday, September 17, 1951, to David Aaron and Alberta (Baughman) Barris, at Atoka, OK. As a young girl she loved to ride horses and barrel race. Sheryl passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at her home in Port Aransas, TX. She graduated from Atoka High School in 1969. She married Michael James Arnold on Tuesday, November 26th, 1969 at Farris Baptist Church in Farris, OK. They celebrated 51 years of marriage before his passing on September 8, 2021.Sheryl and Mike owned and operated Sandollar Sity and Sandollar Services. Sheryl loved the beach houses where she made many friends of her customers that came to stay with her and Mike. She loved to research the genealogy of her and Mike's family and would always have some album or item for the family reunion every year. Sheryl loved to talk and laugh with her friends and family and go on her travels with them.
Sheryl is survived by her sons, Michael Arnold II and wife Tonya, Nathan Arnold and wife Tiffanie; grandchildren, Michael III and wife Ashley, Tyler, Sailor, Wyatt, Jacob, Wrett; great grandchildren, Michael IV, Aylah; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents, David and Alberta Barris; husband, Michael Arnold of 51 years; daughter, Sarah; brothers, Tommy Dean and David; sister, Cletus.
