Shirley Gene (Miller) Fox, age 77, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident, was born on Saturday, August 21, 1943, to William Thomas and Cora Winnie Mae (Brumley) Miller, at Atoka, OK. Shirley passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021 at the Atoka Manor in Atoka, OK. She attended Atoka High School. Shirley was a private care giver, CNA and CMA. She married Carey Rector and then later married Ronald Fox on April 15th in 1972. They celebrated 37 wonderful years of marriage before Ronald's passing on September 20, 2009. Shirley was affiliated with The Caney Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and canning food. Shirley loved to grow flowers, plants and a garden. Shirley is survived by her sons, Rick Rector and wife Denise of Lehigh, OK, Jeff Rector and wife Shelly of Atoka, OK; daughters, Tammy Gearhart of Lehigh, OK, Kim Fincher and husband Shawn of Caney, OK, Heather Fox and James Carter of Atoka, OK; 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; siblings, Issac Glen Miller of Okmulgee, OK, Helen Joyce Woodall of Gerty, OK, Sharon Diane Mast of Bonham, TX; along with cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, William Thomas and Cora Winnie Mae (Brumley) Miller; husband, Ronald Fox; daughter, Gail Haggard; son-in-law, Joe Haggard; son, Kenny Seabourn; grandson, Ryne Rector; daughter-in-law, Tracy Rector; son-in-law, Steve Gearhart
