Simon Finley Jr., age 78, an Atoka, OK resident since 1977 was raised in the Milburn and Fillmore, OK area. He was born on Monday, September 17, 1945, to Simon and Allie Louise (Lewis) Finley Sr., at Milburn, OK. Simon passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at his home in Atoka, OK. He attended Fillmore and Milburn Public Schools and also attended Kiamichi Vo-Tech.  Simon worked for Atoka Peanut Co., Hurley Manor and worked at US Army Ammunition Dept in transportation where he retired. Simon proudly served his country in The Oklahoma National Guard and the US Army where he served in Desert Storm. He married Althear (Harrison) on Saturday, September 17th, 1977 at Atoka, OK. They celebrated almost 45 years of marriage before her passing on May 22, 2022. Simon was of the Baptist faith and was active the VFW.  He enjoyed watching Nascar, watching the Steve Harvey Show, cooking, working on cars, having fancy cars and trucks and loved spoiling his grandchildren.
Simon is survived by his children, Jackie Harrison and fiancè Audra Silvers of Atoka, OK, Magan Harrison and fiancè Jimmy Messer of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, Jalesa Harrison, Jessie harrison, Ashley Harrison, Jackie Harrison Jr., Dominique Harrison, Sienna Harrison, Kennedy Harrison, Sophie Harrison; siblings, Rosa Perry of Tishomingo, OK, Ella Jean Brown and husband Ernest of Tishomingo, OK, Alma Finley of Tishomingo, OK, Iona Smith of Madill, OK, Beatrice Walker of Madill, OK, Joyce King of Oklahoma City, OK, Alfred Wafer of Lawton, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Simon was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Allie Louise (Lewis) Finley Sr.; wife, Althear Finley; siblings, Quarlhorn Jr., Nelma Alexander, Leona Huff, Ludie Finely, Qunice Finley, Willie Finley, Robert Finley, Earnest Finley, Kadie Perry, Odessa Kemp, Leon Finley, Nina Moskey, Maebelle Roberts.
