Stella Marie (Bronsema) Brothers, age 95, a Burkburnett, TX resident, formerly a longtime Atoka resident, was born on Wednesday, October 1, 1924, to Hero B. "Hank" and Minnie (Garwood) Bronsema, at Sherman, TX. Stella passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Burkburnett, TX. She attended Midway and Lehigh schools and graduated from Coalgate High School. Stella was a housewife and homemaker, she also worked for years at Cox Jewelry in Atoka and the jewelry counter at Wal Mart. She married William (Wendall) Raymond Brothers. He preceded her in death on September 12, 1979. Stella was a longtime member of South Church of Christ. She enjoyed church functions and activities, visiting with friends, sewing, crossword puzzles, writing letters and reading, her favorite author was Danielle Steele.
Stella is survived by her daughter in law, Melba Brothers of Durant, OK; grandsons, Jeremy Borthers and wife Cassie of Devol, OK, Bobby Brothers and wife Eryn of Oklahoma City, OK, Michael Brothers and wife Maria of Durant, OK; longtime close friend, Zelma Self of Stringtown, OK; along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Stella is preceded in death by her parents, Hank and Minnie Bronsema; husband, Wendall Brothers; son, Gary Brothers; siblings, Hazel Irene, Ella Leona, Harry Leon, Retha May, Letha Fay, Juanita Louise, Fred Richard, Bobby Gene.
