Obituary Stephen "Steve" Earl Loftis, age 55, an Atoka, OK resident, was born on Sunday, June 9, 1957, to Donald and Velta Jo (Page) Loftis, at Denison, TX. Steve passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Atoka, OK. He graduated from Atoka High School then received a Bachelor of Science degree for Occupational Safety and Health from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Steve was safety manager for Diamond Manufacturing, and a sales representative for the company. He was also a cattle rancher. He married Dawn Elaine (Keeler) on June 11, 1982 at Wards Chapel Baptist Church. Steve was a member of the Wards Chapel Baptist Church. He enjoyed working cattle and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Steve is survived by his wife, Dawn Elaine Loftis of the home in Atoka, OK.; children, Sarah Fugate and husband Brian of Tushka, OK., Meagen Loftis of Caney, OK., Stefanie Werner of Atoka, OK., Zachary Loftis of Atoka, OK.; sister, Sandra Whitman and husband Jim of Porum, OK.; grandchildren, Trenton Fugate, Natalee Fugate, Jaxson Morris, Tyson Morris, Hayden Gilbreath, Waylon Werner, Lydia Werner, and Adallie Werner; mother, Velta Jo (Page) Loftis; brother-in-law, Dale Keeler and wife Pam of Atoka, OK.; mother and father-in-law, Lylus Goggans and Roy of Atoka, OK.; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends.
