Stephen Wayne Simonds, age 49, a longtime Wapanucka, OK resident was born on Saturday, November 15, 1969, to Lynda Joy (Hatter) Simonds, at Coalgate, OK. Stephen passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019 in Coal County, OK. He attended Atoka Elementary School and Wapanucka High School. Stephen worked on small engines. He attended First Baptist in Wapanucka. Stephen enjoyed working on 4-wheelers, motorcycles and small engines.
Stephen is survived by his mother, Lynda Joy McGuire and husband Boyd of Wapanucka, OK; Brick Dashner of Wapanucka, OK; sisters, Larhonda Loftis and husband Eric of Durant, OK, Elisa Gaither and husband Ronnie of Baxter, TN, Sharon Pole and husband Joe of Achille, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

Stephen is preceded in death by his grandparents, Cynthia and Leon Hatter.
