OBITUARY NAME: Sue. Jones Haraway, age 84, a longtime Atoka resident. BORN: She was born on June 20, 1925, to John Wesley Sartin and Katie Pierce Smith Sartin at Wewoka, OK. PASSED AWAY: Sue passed away on June 19, 2010, at the Atoka Memorial Hospital. AGE 84 YEARS 11 MONTHS AND 29 DAYS EDUCATION: She attended schools in Atoka and graduated from the Atoka High School, Sue then attended Southeastern Oklahoma State Teachers College and graduated with a teachers degree. MARRIED: Sue married Harmon T. Jones on December 28, 1943 in Atoka County , OK. Harmon preceded her in death in 1976. Sue later married A.D. "Buddy" Haraway in November of 1978 at Texarkana, TX. OCCUPATION: Sue was an elementary school teacher in Atoka County and at Mamie Johnson in Atoka for many years then began at Atoka's Thunderbird Elementary School when it opened and taught there until her retirement in 1974, after 30 years of teaching. She began Sue Jones Realty in Atoka County in 1975 and operated it until her death, about 35 years.
