Suzan passed away Friday, April 3, 2009 at her mother's home in Slaton, Texas. Suzan was born November 15, 1960 to Hubert Wayne Sanders and Susan Elizabeth (Fulford) Haney in Lubbock, Texas. She grew up in the Slaton and Lubbock area and for the past four years has lived in the Lark area in south Marshall County. She married Danny Joe Reid in 1978. She graduated from Brownfield High School in 1979 then went to Lubbock Christian University and graduated with a degree as a pharmacy technician. She worked for Clinic Pharmacy in Brownfield, Texas for 29 years. Ater moving to Marshall County she worked as a cashier for the Chickasaw Casino in Madill, OK. Suzan enjoyed going to garage sales, auctions, fishing. She also enjoyed spending time in her rock garden, with her horse and dogs and working puzzles. Suzan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Suzan is survived by her son, Michael Dean Reid of Lark, OK; mother Susan (Fulford) Haney of Slaton, TX; brother, Danny Sanders and wife Sheryl of Melrose, NM; nieces, Megan Elizabeth and Meredith Lynn Sanders of Melrose, NM; dear friends, Jennifer Barlow of Milburn,OK, Bobby and Brenda Monroe of Lark, OK, Billy Gryder of Lake LBJ, TX, Sharlann Smotherman of Brownfield, TX, Kim, Jeni and Suzie Pendergrass of Snyder, TX, Heather Higgins and Timmy Higgins of Choctaw, OK, Shane Higgins of Lark, OK, Josh Donathan of Lark,OK; step mother, Sue Sanders of Brownfield, Tx along with numerous cousin, other relatives and many dear and loved friends. Suzan is preceded in death by her father, Hubert Sanders; grandparents, Hubert and Ila Sanders, J.T. and Hattie Fulford; brother, Michael Wayne Sanders. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, April 6, 2009 2:00 PM at the Enos Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie While officiating. The pall bearers will be Bobby Monroe, Ollie Hall, Dennis Loper, Billy Gryder, Merle Monroe, Josh Donathan and Shane Higgins. Honorary pall bearer wi Jeff Seals. Interment will be at the Lark Cemetery.
