Thomas William Awtrey, age 84, a Celina, TX resident, was born on Thursday, July 18, 1935, to William and Unie (Goldsmith) Awtrey, at Ringling, OK. Thomas passed away on Friday, November 29, 2019 at his home in Celina, TX.
He graduated from Ringling High School. Thomas was a Supervisor for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 20 years.
Thomas proudly served his country in The Army for 20 years.
He married Doris (Mixon) on January 12, 1955. They celebrated 64 years of marriage.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Doris Awtrey of the home in Celina, TX; daughters, Cindy Sherrard and husbandTom of Lane, OK, Teresa Nelson and husband Brian of Celina, TX, Jill Simpson and husband Ron of Paris, TX; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; along with two sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Eunice (Goldsmith) Awtrey; brothers, LaWayne, Cozell and Forrest Awtrey.
