Obituary Thomas Gordon Hyde age 78, a longtime Atoka area resident, was born on October 18, 1932, to Thomas Lee Hyde and Muriel (Thomas) Favors, at Atoka, Ok. Thomas passed away on June 15, 2011, at Atoka, Ok. He graduated from Tushka High School in 1951 and attended Murray State College and Southeastern Oklahoma State University where he received his Bachelors Degree. Thomas served his country in the U.S. Air Force during Korea and Vietnam. He was retired from the Military, and from the Department of Human Services and the Department of CPS. Thomas was an avid Tushka Tiger fan, a member of the Tushka Baptist Church, and he loved raising horses. Thomas is survived by his children, Glenn Roger Hyde of Atoka, Ok., Corrina Jayne Hyde of Atoka, Ok., sisters, Donna (Favors) Mulkey and husband Mike of Tushka, Ok., Sandra (Favors) Banker and husband Jacky of Tushka, Ok.; brother in law, Stan Jensen of Tushka, Ok.; sisters-in-law, Sue Hyde of Tushka, Ok., Betty Hyde of Caddo, Ok.; grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Hyde of Atoka, Ok., Tiffany (Hyde) Hokett and husband Jason of Atoka, Ok., Jennifer Ann Eden of Caney, Ok.; 6 great grandchildren; along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
