Todd Epperson, formerly of Coalgate, OK. passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2007 at his home Dallas, TX following a tragic accident. He was 45 years old. Todd wa born Oct. 16, 1962 in Bartlesville, Ok to James Hardy & Wanda (Watson) Epperson. He attended grade school in Tulsa and then at Coalgate, OK. Todd graduated Coalgate High School with the class of 1980. He then attended Oklahoma State University, graduating in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Radio-T.V-Film. Todd has a varied and exciting career in his field, working as Account Executive for Rosenthal-Truitt of Dallas, copywriter for Neiman Marcus from 1992-1996, Senior Copy writer for Spiegel, INC. of Chicago, Illinois, Copy Supervisor for Ambrosi Advertising of Chicago, Senior Copy Director and Senior Art Director for Spiegel, Inc from 1996-2001, Freelance Writer for Dallas Morning News providing feature articles aw well wa writing for the Dallas Guide, fashion Dallas, Texas Living, House and Garden, GuideLive.com, and Better Homes and Gardens. In 2003 he went to work for J.C. Penny Media L.P. of Plano, Texas, starting as Associate Art Director before becoming Senior Art Director. Todd loved his work which allowed him to travel and supervise photo shoots all around the country with the satisfaction of knowing they would be read by thousands of people who shopped by catalogs or read the newspapers. Todd is survived by: his parents, Jim and Wanda Epperson of Durant, Ok; one brother, Bob Epperson and his wife Mitzi of Vinita, OK; one sister Christy Race and husband Pete of Durant, OK; six nieces and nephews, Melissa Sigler and Husband Jared of Tulsa, OK,; Christa Morton and husband Anthony of Broken Bow, OK; Jimmy and Kelsey Epperson of Vinita, OK; Hunter and Alexis Young of Durant, OK; Aunts and Uncles, Cindy Cochran and husband Morris of Atoka, OK, Duane and Carol Watson of Camino, CA; Kathleen Hayworth and husband Jerry of Coalgate, OK; Karen House and husband Dale od Sasakawa, OK, and a host of cousins and close friends whom he cherished. The family will recieve friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, Oct. 22, 2007 at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel in Coalgate, OK. A service celebrating Todd's life will be held Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007 at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel in Coalgate, OK. His Cousin Michael Cochran and Pastor Johnny Mixon will officiate. Interment will follow at Coalgate Cemetery, Coalgate, OK Services are under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service, Coalgate, OK
