Tom Elton Gibson

OBITUARY

Tom Elton Gibson, a Coalgate, OK resident, was born on Wednesday, May 18, 1940, to Floyd and Ollie Mary (Wallis) Gibson, at Olney, OK. Tom passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 85 years, 9 months and 23 days. He graduated from Coalgate High School  with the class of 1958 and went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from East Central University in 1977. Tom was an electrician and supervisor for OG&E where he retired. Tom proudly served his country in The United States Navy where he served during Vietnam. He married Vivian Ruth (Archer) on Saturday, April 2nd, 1966 at Coalgate, Oklahoma. They spent 46 wonderful years together before her passing in 2012. Tom was a hunter, gardener, fisherman, craftsman, and builder.

GRANDSONS: John Thomas Jones of Coalgate, Andrew John Blair and husband Blake Anthony Blair of Shawnee, Ethan Michael Blair of Norman
