Tony Douglas Hyatt, age 62, a longtime Atoka, OK resident, was born on Friday, November 13, 1959, to Virgil and Emma Mae (Hunt) Hyatt, at Oklahoma City, OK. He was raised by his father figures Ollie Leeper and Leslie Gibson. Tony passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Denison, TX. He attended Bentley School. Tony was a tradesman, mechanic and general laborer. He was of the baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting, being outdoors, loved to play the slot machines, coon hunt, play dominoes and most of all spending time with his children and spoiling his grandchildren.
Tony is survived by his children, Michael Hyatt and wife Rachel of San Angelo, TX, Emily Thurman and husband Phillip of Bentley, OK, Charles Hyatt and Kylee Leeper of Chickasha, OK; grandchildren, Lexi Hyatt of San Angelo, TX, Taylor Thurman of Bentley, OK, Hailey Hyatt of San Angelo, TX, Tanner Thurman of Bentley, OK, Lily Hyatt of San Angelo, TX, Braylee Cochran of San Angelo, TX; siblings, Junior Arrington and wife Linda of Sulphur, OK, Lynn Hyatt and wife Angie of Roff, OK, Wanda Eaton of Sulphur, OK, Irma Menshew and husband Rob of McKinney, TX; favorite aunt, Viola; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Hyatt; mother, Emma Mae Gibson; father figures, Ollie Leeper, Lislie Gibson; brothers, Ronnie Arrington, Archie Leeper, Alois Masters; nephew, Gilbert Williams.
