Troy "Pig" Wayne Marlow, age 80, a longtime Caney, OK resident, was born on Monday, June 16, 1941, to Clifton and Mary (Pyle) Marlow, at Atoka, OK. Wayne passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Durant, OK. He graduated from Atoka High School with the class of 1959. Wayne worked at the old Atoka Truck Stop, a number of years at Cochran's Southeast Machinery, and retired after 20 something years at Sundowners Trailer Manufacturing. He married Jaqueline Uyvonne Lackey on March 4, 1972 at Durant, OK. They celebrated 48 years of marriage before her passing on November 16, 2020. Wayne was a member of Voca Baptist Church. He was a bull rider, enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching Caney Cougar Baseball, and he loved to come to town and visit with everyone. "He never met a stranger."
Wayne is survived by his children, Wade Marlow of Atoka, OK, Kent Marlow and wife Stacey of Tallahassee, FL, Cody Marlow of Durant, OK, Amber McDaniel of Caney, OK; grandchildren, Jesse Marlow of Tallahassee, FL, Shane Scott of Caney, OK, Savanna Marlow of Durant, OK, Bodie McDaniel of Caney, OK; brother, Coy Marlow of Atoka, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Clifton Marlow; mother, Mary (Pyle) Settlemire; wife, Jackie Marlow; sister, Edna King and husband Don; in laws, Wanda and Andy Lackey.
