My Mom, Twyla Gaile Lawrence, passed away on March 9, 2023. She was born September 16, 1935, to Hulet Thomas Rice Sr. and Rebecca Ruth (Hall) Rice. Mama was the baby of 9 children. She married Perry Joe Hefley in June 1956, and I was born to them in 1958. Mama then married Clayton "Buddy" Lawrence in December 1977. He passed away 5 years later. Mama was the hardest working person I know. She milked for us for 15 years, took care of her disabled sister Faye and me well into adulthood, longer that I care to admit. Rest In Peace Mama, I know you've already made it home.
