Vance Richard "Ricky" Johnston Jr., age 64, a Tishomingo, OK resident for the last 24 years was raised in Stringtown, OK and lived in Missouri several years. He was born on Thursday, February 3, 1955, to Vance and Patsy Marie (Shivers) Johnston, at Coalgate, OK. Ricky passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at his home in Tishomingo, OK. He graduated from Atoka High School. Ricky worked for Wesley Bennett Co. in Oklahoma City, Cardinal Scales in Missouri, and worked for the Stringtown Crusher. Ricky was of the baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, loved watching football (Kansas City Chiefs), working with his tractor, and most of all visiting and entertaining his family.
Ricky is survived by his mother, Patsy Marie Moore of Forsythe, MO; lifemate of 20 years, Cheryl Allen of the home in Tishomingo, OK; children, Richard Johnston and wife Jennifer of Wewoka, OK, Maria Lee Gilbert  and husband Jeremy of Atoka, OK, Sabrina Reasor and husband Shannon of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, Chancie Espinosa and husband Steven of Ft. Lewis, WA, Logan Johnston, Cheyenne Gilbert and wife Mikayla, Brandon Tisdale and Ashley Stiles, Carlee Gilbert, Brooklyn Azlin and husband Dex, Garrett Howell, Tanner Johnston; great grandchildren, Kanoah Espinosa and Tyus Gilbert, Carter Azlin ; step children, Angel Williams and husband Dallas of Tishomingo, OK, Elton Allen and wife Ashlea of Albuquerque, NM, Robert Allen and Chandra Nichole Engstrom of Minnesota, Meagan Scallion and Aaron of Tishomingo, OK, Steven Jay Weatherford of Tishomingo, OK; grandchildren, Saige Yorsky, Sheree Hamilton, Jayden Allen, Kase Williams, Javyx Williams; sisters, Pamela "Vickie" Johnston Purdue of Forsythe, MO, Patricia Finestead and husband Tim of Taneyville, Mo; brother, Robbie Johnston and wife Debbie of Bentley, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Ricky is preceded in death by his father, Vance Richard Johnston Sr.; brother, Timothy Johnston.
