Velma "Deana" Verdena Frazier, age 96, a lifelong Atoka County, Bentley, OK area resident, was born on Saturday, January 15, 1927, to Henry and Mae (Chavers) French, at Bentley, OK. Dena entered Heaven on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Atoka, OK. She attended Grassy Lake School. Dena was a housewife and homemaker, owned and operated restaurants, Frazier's Cafe and Tushka Truck Stop, cooked in many places, and worked in California a few years before moving back to Bentley. She married Kenneth Claude Frazier on Friday, December 26th, 1952 at Durant, OK. They celebrated 56 years of marriage before his passing on December 27, 2008. Dena was a lifelong member of Bentley  Baptist Church and was very active in the Bentley Church activities, member of the DAV Auxiliary, loved cooking, quilting, embroidering and being with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Mrs. Dena spent a lifetime trying to figure out her favorite grandchild was .............
Dena is survived by her children, Lena Novell Daniel and husband Randy of Atoka, OK, Nadine McDaniel of Bentley, OK, Gaylene Diane Riley and husband Scott of Atoka, OK; special nieces, Sheila Conner of Moore, OK, Cheryl McClure of Bentley, OK; grandchildren, Valerie Wilson and spouse Chris, Andrew Danderson, Kristen Fletcher Byrd, Jessica Lynn Hemphill and husband David, Randell Shane Daniel and wife Vickie, Kenneth Eugene Daniel and wife Sara, Don Daniel and wife Natalie, Rocky McDaniel and wife Audree, Travis McDaniel and wife Jessica, Sarah Beth Bryant and husband Wacey, Blaine Riley and wife Robin; 34 great grandchildren, 14 plus great great grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Dena was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Claude Frazier; parents, Henry and Mae (Chavers) French; son, Jay Steven Fletcher; daughter, Judith Mae Danderson; sisters, Alpha Cremeans, Inais Rains and husband Jr. Rains; brothers, Grady French, Elmer French and wife Elfie.
