Obituary
Vern Lee Baker, age 66, a Broken Arrow, OK resident formerly of Atoka, OK was born on Monday, February 16, 1953, to Vern Ishmal and Thelma Vivian (Phillips) Baker, at Durant, OK. Vern passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Tulsa, OK. He graduated from Oklahoma State University Nursing School. Vern was a Computer Science Specialist.
Vern proudly served his country in the US Air Force. He married the love of his life, Maxine Ellen (Mosher), on Saturday, June 3rd, 1972 at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, in Midwest City, Oklahoma. They have celebrated 47 wonderful years of marriage. Vern accepted his Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized when he was 10, later attended Garnett Road Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking. Vern's greatest life moments was the birth of his daughter Amanda on November 8, 1974 and when she married Ron Rease Jr. on September 21, 2013. He enjoyed having the most wonderful family both his and Maxine's to love and share life's wonders. There was never a dull moment with these folk's.

Vern is survived by his loving wife, Maxine Ellen Baker of the home.; daughter, Amanda Rease and husband Ronald of Sterling, VA; sister, Carla Dandridge of Atoka, OK; nephew, Lincoln Hacker and wife Shanna of Pataskala, OH; great nephew, Dakota Hacker of Blacklick, OH. Along with multiple cousins, and friends.
Vern was preceded in death by his parents, Vern Ishmal and Thelma Vivian (Phillips) Baker; brother-in-law, Robert Dandridge
