OBITUARY

NAME: Vina (Jacob) Allen, age 88, a long-time Atoka, OK resident.

BORN: She was born on Monday, October 08, 1928, to Fulsom Sr, and Martha (Cole) Jacob near Caney, Indian territory, the first of 7 children.

PASSED AWAY: Vina gently passed away in her sleep in the early hours of Thursday, October 20, 2016 at her home in Atoka, OK

AGE: 88 years and 12 days.

EDUCATION: She graduated from Atoka High School in 1948.

OCCUPATION: Vina was a homemaker

MARRIED: She married Roy Leon Allen on Friday, April 9th, 1949 at Atoka, OK. They moved to California in 1959, raised 3 sons and a daughter, enjoyed seeing them married and having grandchildren, before deciding to move back to Atoka in 2003. Her husband always called her "The beautiful dreamer". Vina and Roy enjoyed 56 wonderful years together before his death in 2005.

CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Vina enjoyed life and family. She never met a stranger. She loved puzzles, board games, cooking, anything outdoors, telling stories of her life's joys and tragedies, crocheting, and quilting. But most of all she loved talking about God's Word from the Bible. She was a member of The World Wide organization of Jehovah's Witnesses. Vina attended meetings at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in the community of Atoka. She never lost hope of that promise of paradise that Jehovah God had promised for mankind. Vina was baptized at the age of 12 as one of Jehovah's Witness and remained faithful all her life being a full-time pioneer for 34 years. She was loved by family and friends and will be missed and her memory truly treasured.

DAUGHTER: Sharon Longwell and husband Tim of Atoka, OK

BROTHER: Fulsom Jacob Jr. and wife Dona of Klamath Falls, OR

SISTER-IN-LAWS: Christene Campbell of Atoka, OK

Lois Jack and husband Al of Maysville, OK

SISTER: Patricia Johnson and husband Richard of Atoka,OK

20 grandchildren

24 great grandchildren

5 great-great grandchildren

along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
