Obituary

Virgil Lee Crow, age 81, was raised in Arizona and moved to Oklahoma City before becoming an Atoka, OK resident for the past 30 plus years. He was born on Sunday, February 15, 1942, to Virgil Arto and Floney Christine (Emerson) Crow, at Texarkana, TX. Virgil passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at his home in Atoka, OK. He attended Thatcher High School in Arizona. Virgil was a welder and fabricator for many years for Robinson Steel in Oklahoma City, WW Steel in Oklahoma City and McDaniel Trailers before his retirement in 1999. He served his country in the United States Navy. He married Norene Ann (Peters) on Thursday, August 11th, 1966 at McAlester, OK. They celebrated 48 years of marriage before her passing on June 9, 2014. Virgil was a Christian and believer. He enjoyed watching tv, grilling, dancing, and mowing. He loved football, OU and Dallas Cowboys were his teams and he loved being with his family.
Virgil is survived by his son, Virgil Lynn Crow and wife Krista of Mustang, OK; daughter, Mechelle Crow of Canadian, OK; grandchildren, Easton Crow of Lane, OK, Ginna Crow of Mustang, OK, Kylee Crow of Canadian, OK, Carah Crow of Mustang, OK, Vance Crow of Mustang, OK; siblings, Glenn Crow and wife Charlotte of Lakeside, AZ, Jerry Lynn Crow of Centerpoint, OK, John Henry Crow and wife Tammy of Lane, OK, Barbara Nelson and husband David of Austin, TX, Carolyn Cantrell of Tex City, TX, Ralph Crow and wife Pamela of Lane, OK, Barbara Katherine McCarty of Atoka, OK; sister in law, Veronica McDaniel and husband Chock of Atoka, OK; great nieces and nephews, Jennifer Wagoner and husband Alvis of Blackjack, OK, Maci Wagoner of Blackjack, OK, Haley Wagoner of Blackjack, OK, Logan Wagoner of Blackjack, OK; longtime friend and companion, Mary Frances Wood of Atoka, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Arto and Floney Christine (Emerson) Crow; wife, Norene Ann Crow; son, Perry Michael Crow; brothers, Donald Crow, Larry Crow, Douglas Woods, Robert Crow; sisters, Christine Walters, Delinda Sue Evans; step mother, Billie Jean Crow.
