December 2, 1931 – December 14, 2025
Virgil Lee Ennis, a Wardville resident, was born on December 02, 1931, to Benjamin Franklin and Nellie Mae (Hoffman) Ennis, at Mowdy, OK. He passed away on December 14, 2025 at Durant, OK at the age of 94 years and 12 days. Virgil attended Mowdy School before graduating from Coalgate High School and going to Okmulgee Technical for a year. He was an electrical technician for AT&T. Virgil proudly served his country in The United States Army where he fought in the Korean War. He married Dorothy Mae Lanoy on January 5, 1957 at the Coalgate Methodist Church, they spent 67 wonderful years together before her passing. Virgil was a member of South Agnew Church of God in Oklahoma City and Nazarene Church of Coalgate. He enjoyed taking care of his cows, working with the tractor, reading, and having fun with his grandsons.

SISTER IN LAW: Pat Lanoy of Yukon, OK
Along with many other dearly loved friends and family.
