OBITUARY NAME: Virginia C. Sipes age 89, a former Atoka area resident. BORN: She was born on December 6, 1920 to Rev. C H. and Naomi O'Quinn, at Bogata, Tx. PASSED AWAY: Virginia went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2010, at Oklahoma City, Ok. AGE 89 YEARS 9 MONTHS AND 1 DAYS EDUCATION: She attended school in Atoka, Ok. MARRIED: Virginia was married to B. A. Sipes for 50 years. OCCUPATION: She was a housewife and rancher. CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES, AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Virginia was devoted Christian, wife, and mother. She loved her family, but put God first. She loved to talk about God and was always praying for anyone that needed prayer. Her father was a minister and she too had preached at one time. She had a strong prayer of faith in the Assembly of God Church. She was so proud of her family and her kids, and treated each one very special. She was very kind and loved children, and laughter, and to uplift someone's spirit. Virginia was always happiest during the holidays when she would make her Hot Rolls for the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays for all her family along with the Traditional Turkey and Dressing and all the Trimmings. She also was willing to cook for any of her family when they came by. She was so thankful for the care during her illness. Each day she had a beautiful smile and said that she was going home to Jesus. All through her illness, she never lost her since of humor. She made jokes everyday and laughed at something or someone. SURVIVED BY CHILDREN: Roger Sipes of Atoka, Ok. Joe Sipes and wife Cathy of Konawa, Ok. Jerry Sipes of Norman, Ok. Regina McDonald and husband Don of Norman, Ok. SPECIAL FRIEND: Della Pebworth of Atoka, Ok. GRANDCHILDREN: Roger Glenn Sipes of Atoka, Ok. Jimmy Alexander of Atoka, Ok. Regina Sipes of Atoka, Ok. Kristi Hamilton of Atoka, Ok.
