Virginia Christina (Rowland) White, age 84, a longtime Tulsa, OK resident, was born on Tuesday, May 17, 1938, to Nicholas Warren and Edna Lee (King) Rowland, at Milburn, OK. Virginia passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Tulsa, OK. She attended Egypt Grade School in Coleman, Milburn High School where she graduated with the class of "57. Virginia graduated from SOSU in 1961 with a degree in Teaching and then on to attend Northern State University where she received a Master's Degree. Virginia was a teacher at Vera School in Collinsville and 26 years at Allen Bowden School where she retired in 1998. She married Tommy Logan White on Wednesday, November 23rd, 1960 at San Antonio, TX. They celebrated 62 years of marriage before his passing on October 9, 2022. Virginia was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed teaching and loved being with her children and grandchildren.
Virginia is survived by her children, Valerie White of Oklahoma City, OK, Evelyn Elaine White of Tulsa, OK, Clayton White of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Renee, Jessica, Sheldon, Shelby, Bobbie, Samantha, Christina; great granddaughter; sisters in law, Berva White, Sybil White; brothers, Ferman Rowland, Larry Rowland; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas Warren and Edna Lee (King) Rowland; husband, Tommy Logan White; brothers, Freemen Rowland, Charles Rowland; sisters, Edna Darlene Rowland, Dora Lee Rowland.
