Viva Dean Pruett, age 83, a longtime Caney, OK resident.
She was born on Tuesday, March 7, 1939 to Chester and Iva (Hatchett) Cozart, at Success, Arkansas. Viva passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Flower Mound, TX surrounded by her loved ones. She attended elementary and high school in Arkansas and Illinois and completed her GED in Atoka, OK in 1979. Viva retired as General Manager from Caney Day and Night. She married Ralph Pruett on Friday, July 19th, 1968 at Durant, OK. They celebrated 20 years of marriage before his passing on March 17, 1989. Viva enjoyed reading and gardening. She loved caring for her pets.
Viva is survived by her sister, Bonnie Zinn of Shelbyville, IL; daughters, Sandra Boren and husband Dale of Fort Worth, TX, Sheila CdeBaca of Campbell, TX, Andie Briggs and husband Leslie of Flower Mound, TX; son, Ed Pruett of Caney, OK; grandchildren, Shay Parham and wife Jennifer of Wichita Falls, TX, Rachel Rincon Gallardo and husband Jorge of Southlake, TX, Kasey Worthy and husband Josh of Fort Worth, TX, Jennifer Jones of Fort Worth, TX, RD Pruett and wife Justice of Bentley, OK, Caleb Drumm of Coleman, OK, Cierra Briggs of Fayetteville, AR, Levi Briggs of Denton, TX; great grandchilderen, Rylan, Camryn, Christian, Cooper, Emma, Hadlee, Isabella, Jensen; along with other relatives and friends.
She was Preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Iva (Hatchett) Cozart; husband, Ralph Pruett.
