OBITUARY NAME: Wallace "Bud" Gale Moffatt, age 81, a Mabank, TX resident, formerly of Atoka, OK. BORN: He was born on Sunday, May 15, 1932, to George and Bessie Lee (Curry) Moffatt, at Atoka, OK. PASSED AWAY: Wallace "Bud" Moffatt passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Kemp, TX. AGE: 81 years, 5 months and 30 days. EDUCATION: He attended school at Atoka and then attended Southeastern State University where he graduated in 1955 with a Bachelors Degree in education. OCCUPATION: Wallace "Bud" started his lifelong career as a banker in 1957 with First National Bank of Dallas, retiring from First City Bank East Dallas in 1988 as Executive Vice President. MILITARY: Wallace "Bud" Moffatt proudly served his country with family and friends from Atoka in the U.S. Army 45th Division in Korea from 1950-1952. MARRIED: He married the love of his life Retha Ann (Layne) on August 11, 1954 in Checotah, OK and they were together for 59 years. CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Bud always had great faith in the Lord, his church home was Caney Creek Baptist Church in Caney City, Texas. He loved hunting, fishing, reading and helping Retha make wood art. SURVIVED BY WIFE: Retha Ann Moffatt of the home in Mabank, TX. CHILDREN: Sally Ann Moffatt Gorrell and husband Kenneth Jr. Standeford "Stan" Vane Moffatt GRANDSON: Kenneth Gorrell III and wife Kayla GREAT GRANDBABIES: Kenneth IV and Millie Elise Gorrell SISTER: Mary Jane McNeil of Sulphur, OK along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
