Walter Lonnie Selby, age 79, a lifetime Tushka, OK resident was born on Saturday, August 24, 1940, to Walter Thomas and Julia Mae (Edwards) Selby, at Atoka, OK. Lonnie passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2020 at Atoka, OK surrounded by his family. He married Elvina (Smith) the "love of his life" on Wednesday, January 4th, 1961 at Atoka, OK. They celebrated 59 years of marriage. He graduated from Atoka High School in 1958. Lonnie got his plumbing licenses in the 70s and had a successful business. He later became a contractor for S.W Bell working for 37 years until his retirement. He served in the National Guard for many years. Lonnie accepted the Lord as his Savior and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a hard working man, loved to hunt, fly his airplane and play with his grandkids and they loved their PawPaw. Granddaughter Raven thought as the song goes "PawPaw Could Walk On Water."

Lonnie is survived by his wife, Elvina Selby of the home in Tushka OK.; daughter, Cherryl Selby of Tushka, OK; son, Kent Selby of Tushka, OK; granddaughters, Raven Jennings of Tushka, OK, Talon Lewis of Tushka, OK; grandsons, Blade Gossett of Caney, OK, Storm Gossett of Caney, OK, Trent Selby of Tushka, OK; great grandsons, Devlan Jennings of Tushka, OK, Jett Evans of Tushka, OK;
special nieces who supported us durning this difficult time, Tressie Damron of Austin ,TX, Flora Coates of Atoka, OK, Barbara Culbreath of Caney, OK,Special nephew, Bobby Smith of Tushka, OK; sister-in-law: Lillie Mae Selby; best friend, Jerald Capshaw; Along with other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Thomas and Julia Mae (Edwards) Selby; brothers, John, Lee, George, Carlton Selby; sisters, Lila Nagle, Thelma Chick; sister-in-law, Oneda Selby; brother-in-law, Powell Chick .
