NAME: Wanda (Patton) Carter, age 90, a lifelong Clarita area resident

BORN: She was born on January 09, 1927, to Jack Thomas and Zelma Annie (Jennings) Patton, at Clarita, OK., except for a brief time during World War II, she lived her entire life in Clarita.

PASSED AWAY: Wanda passed away on September 28, 2017 at Harrah, OK.

AGE: 90 years, 8 months and 19 days.

EDUCATION: She graduated Clarita High School.

OCCUPATION: Wanda was a housewife & homemaker

MARRIED: Wanda married Bruce Carter Jr. on June 16, 1944 in Centrahoma, OK and their perfect union lasted until Bruce's death in 2003. A war bride, Wanda kept the home fires burning while Bruce served his country, and the couple moved to their farm in Clarita when he returned from the war.

CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Wanda was a member of the Clarita Methodist Church. She loved to sew, garden & working on the farm. Wanda was always busy and working, she was a trusted and loving friend, daughter, sister & cousin. Most of all she was a wonderful wife and the best mother that two children ever had. Motherhood was truly her calling in life.

Grandsons: Bruce Lynn Carter, Randy Carter & wife Julie

Great-granddaughters: Katelyn & Kyndall Carter

Sister: Joy Steele & husband Sam

Along with her treasured nieces, nephews, cousin & friends
