Wanda Jealine (Mackey) Pippin, age 88, a longtime Atoka resident, but has lived in Duncan, OK for the past 32 years was born on Friday, October 30, 1931, to Laurence and Margaret Ramy (Brisco) Mackey, at Fittstown, OK, the oldest girl of nine children. Wanda passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Duncan, OK. She attended Atoka Public School. Wanda was a homemaker and housewife, raised 4 children while moving to many locations while Clyde served in the U.S. Army. She married Clyde Ray Pippin on Monday, October 31st, 1955 at Las Cruces, NM. They celebrated 38 wonderful years of marriage before he passed on August, 18, 1994. Wanda was a member of Tushka Baptist Church and Imanuel Baptist in Duncan. She loved crossword puzzles. The best time of their life was when they were active in Tushka Baptist Church and taking care of her grand and great grandchildren.
Wanda is survived by her children, Elaine Groves of Arlington, TX, Duane Pippin and wife Susan of Tulsa, OK, Linda Gail Darst and husband Sam of Duncan, OK; grandchildren, Kathryn, Ronnie, Clint, Justin, Ryan & Lindsay; numerous great and great great grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Reasor and husband Lowell of Atoka, OK, Glenette Childers and husband Sonny of Oklahoma City, OK;
Along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Laurence and Margaret Ramy (Brisco) Mackey; husband, Clyde Pippin; son, Wesley Pippin; grandson, Landy Warford; brothers, Ray, Junior, Gene, Jerry & J.T. Mackey; sister & brother-in-law, Shirley & Joe Bock.
