NAME: Warren E. Powell, age 87, a longtime Coalgate resident.

BORN: He was born on June 30, 1929, to Samuel and Elsie Mae (Sexton) Powell, at Clarita, OK.

PASSED AWAY: Warren passed away on December 29, 2016 at Huntersville, NC.

AGE:  87 years, 5 months and 29 days.

EDUCATION: Warren attended Clarita school and graduated from Atoka High School. He also attended the Spartan School of Aeronautics.

OCCUPATION: Warren worked as a mail carrier from United States Postal Service in Moore, OK, and retired from the United States Postal Service in Oklahoma City, OK.

MILITARY: Warren was a Veteran of the Air Force serving in WWII.

MARRIED: Warren married Margie Bell Crowell on June 28, 1950 in Spearman, TX, she preceded him in death on March 22, 2016

CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS:  Warren was a member of the Coalgate United Methodist Church. He was a member of the VFW, Masonic Lodge, AARP & RSVP in Coalgate.
