Wendy Hope (Nielson) Gonzalez, age 57, a longtime Atoka, OK resident, was born on Tuesday, December 6, 1960, to Laurie R. and Betty Lou (Striplin) Nielson, at Sacramento, CA. Wendy passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Oklahoma City, OK. She attended school in California, KTC in Atoka and CLC in California.  Wendy was an accountant and bookkeeper for Handyman Construction. She was owner and promoter at I Love My Authors. Wendy was also owner and book reviewer at Lovetiigi's Book Reviews.  She enjoyed crocheting, writing, reading and reviewing books.

Wendy is survived by her children,  Lisa Christine Long of Santa Clara, CA, Christopher M. Valeri Sr. and fiancé Myranda Mosley of Atoka, OK, Bianca Weakley and husband Brian of Lane, OK; sister, Rebecca Lynn Nielson of California; grandchildren, Christopher M. Valeri Jr. of Atoka, OK, Alexander R. Valeri of Atoka, OK, Beautiful Hope Nacole Valeri of Atoka, OK, Jayden Ann Mosley of Atoka, OK, Joel J. Valeri of Atoka, OK; sister in law, Luisa Sanchez of Oklahoma City, OK; nieces and nephews, Maria L. Lopez of Oklahoma City, OK, Lino Lopez Jr. and Sarah of Oklahoma City, OK, Esther M. Lopez of Oklahoma City, OK, Elizabeth C. Lopez of Oklahoma City, OK; along with other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

Wendy is preceded in death by her parents, Laurie and Betty Lou (Striplin) Nielson; sisters, Anette Elizabeth Nielson, Pamela Dawn Wallace; brother, Laurie R. Nielson Jr; dad who raised her, Jack Barns.
