Willard Laverne Castleberry, age 68, a longtime Lane - Atoka, OK resident, since 1972, was born on Wednesday, December 24, 1952, to Frank Willard and Betty Jean (Pressey) Castleberry, at Jacksonville, IL. Willard passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Atoka, OK. He attended high school in Jacksonville, IL. Willard was a lifelong truck driver, owner/operator and also drove for several local companies. He married Karen Sue (Owens) on Saturday, August 7th, 1971 at Virginia, IL. They celebrated 50 years of marriage before his passing. Willard was raised baptist and was later affiliated with Full Gospel Pentecostal Church. He loved to make flower pots out of tires, riding motorcycles, coon hunting, deer hunting, fishing, going to rodeos and especially loved his grandbabies.
Willard is survived by his wife, Karen Sue Castleberry of the home in Atoka, OK; son, Scott Castleberry and wife Kisa of Atoka, OK; daughter, Tina Cathey and husband William of Savannah, OK; grandchildren, Dylan Castleberry and wife Sheldyn of Achille, OK, Brittany Sawyer and husband Jeff of Atoka, OK, Nick Castleberry of Atoka, OK; great grandchildren, Rhody Owen Williams Castleberry, Hunter and Kaden Sawyer; siblings, David Castleberry and wife Lori of Farmersville, IL, Frank Castleberry of Atoka, OK, Cheryl Dugger and Perry Eskue of Farris, OK, Robin Castleberry and Teresa Baker of Farris, OK, Jean Sturgis and husband C.J. of Lane, OK, Alan Castleberry of Athensville, IL, Vicky Lynn Tucker and husband Steven of Athensville, IL, Cathey Lynn Mayhue and husband David of Coleman, OK; in laws, Mike Owens and wife Susan of Houston, TX, Janina Stockdale and husband Dan of League City, TX, David Owens and wife Gina of Rusk, TX; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Willard was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Willard and Betty Jean (Pressey) Castleberry; sister, Rita Ann Beach; brother in law, Mike Beach; in laws, Freeman and Josephine Owens.
