William Mark Hefley was born August 17, 1964, to his late parents Billy and Patricia Ellis (Calvert) Hefley in McAlester, Oklahoma. He grew up around Clarita, Oklahoma, graduating from Olney Schools in 1982. Mark went on to work at Boeing/Spirit in 1984, where he retired on December 3, 2020 after 36 years. He also worked alongside his dad Bill and eventually his sons most of his life farming and working cows.

Mark married Joyce Ann Brown in Mena, Arkansas on July 9, 1999.

In his younger years Mark liked to hunt and fish. You could almost always find him outside. After becoming a dad, he loved to fish with his boys and watch them bring home big bucks during hunting season. Standing on the fence line for sand drag races and watching his boys play baseball is what he loved most. There wasn't a ball game or race he would miss. Above all else, his greatest joy was his grandchildren and was so proud to be called "Papa". Nothing brought a smile to his face like spoiling his grandkids, especially taking them for 4-wheeler or buggy rides.

Mark passed from this life on December 14, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Patricia Hefley and uncles Hugh Hefley, Howard Hefley and Paul Calvert. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Joyce Hefley, his son Tyler Hefley and grandchildren Kealee and Blake Hefley, son Ryan Hefley, daughter in law Stephanie and grandchildren Waylon and Wyatt Hefley, step daughter Kyla Reinhart, son in law John and step grandchildren Brailey, Carsyn and Harper Reinhart and uncle Charles and Delores Calvert. Along with numerous cousins and many dearly loved friends.
