William "Bill" Hyland Knowles, age 70, a Sherman, TX resident was born on Thursday, May 26, 1955, to William Hyland and Evelyn Doris (Carhart) Knowles, at Long Island, NY. Bill passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Sherman, TX. He attended  New York  and Dallas Schools and graduated from W.T White High School  in Dallas with the class of 1975. Bill was a truck driver  for the DOT Foods  and Christenson Trucking Company. He married Lois Lee (Selby) on July 5, 1996 in Sherman, Texas. They celebrated 29 years before Bill's passing.  Bill was a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church in Dallas. He loved boating on Lake Texoma, fishing, playing golf.  He also loved taking care and nurturing animals. Bill had chameleons and fishing tanks, cats and dogs. He loved his dog Tramp and Skylar's cat Rice.

Bill is survived by his wife, Lois Lee Knowles of the home in Sherman, TX. Daughter, Skylar Knowles of Bonham, TX; grandson, Galileo Chopin Knowles-McAdoo; sisters, Gail Kistner of McKinney, TX, Kim Thornton of Wimberley,  TX; brother, George Knowles and wife Natalie of Prosper, TX; brother-in-law, Michael Selby of Atoka, OK; sister-in-law, Joyce Noah of Edmond, TX; grandcat, Rice,  Along with numerous nieces, nephews, many loved and dear friends.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, William Hyland and Evelyn Doris (Knowles) Knowles; sister, Leslie Franklin; mother-in-law, Lillie Mae Selby; dog/best buddy, Tramp.
