BORN: He was born on January 31, 1932, to Marion E. and Martha Ann (Nichols) Sturdy, at Collins, IA.

PASSED AWAY: William passed away on July 21, 2017 at Coalgate, OK.

AGE:  85 years, 5 months and 21 days.

EDUCATION: He graduated Lincoln High School in Lincoln, ARK. He attended college for 1 year at the College of the Ozarks

OCCUPATION: William retired from the Ammunition Plant in 1987.

MILITARY: William was a veteran serving in the US Army.

MARRIED: William and Quinta Jo Lackey were married on May 17, 1755 at Miami, OK. They were married 62 years.

CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church, he enjoyed woodworking, water skiing, fishing, and spending time with his family

Wife: Quinta Jo of Coalgate, OK

Daughters: Dena Boston of Atoka, OK, Diana Sanders and Randy of Ada, OK, Susan Stewart and John of Coalgate, OK

Son: William Sturdy, Jr. and Maria of Longview, TX

14 Grandchildren: Tracy Allen, Larry Boston, Carrie Boston, Bree Reza, Erin Hoskin, Donnie Lee, Tony Lee,  Dalton Stewart, Matthew Stewart, Tina Sturdy, Bruce Sturdy, Jeremy Lockridge, Jennifer Bowles and Jeanette Sumrow

27 Great Grandchildren

1 Great Great Grandson on the way

Along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends
