Willie B. Brooks, age 73, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident. He was born on Wednesday, March 26, 1952, to Leonard Adell and Naydein Louella (Greenwood) Brooks, at Atoka, OK. Willie passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Durant, OK. He attended Dunbar School and Atoka Public School. Willie worked odd jobs, mowing, washing dished and maintenance at restaurants. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football, especially Dallas Cowboys and paying close attention to how they were playing, and visiting with friends.
Willie is survived by his siblings, Blanche Crooms of Atoka, OK, Lena May Riley of Atoka, OK, Rose Gage of Atoka, OK, Larry Darnell Brooks of Atoka, OK; nieces, Christina Riley of Oklahoma City, OK, Pamela Jones of Atoka, OK, Naydein Crooms of Atoka, OK, Carolyn Hughes and husband Gerald of Durant, OK, Cindy Crooms of Atoka, OK, Elfreida Renay Jones of Atoka, OK, Charla Weaver of Atoka, OK, Carmen Cherry of Durant, OK, LeAnn Nichols of McAlester, OK; nephews, Jeremy Crooms of Atoka, OK, Jeffery Crooms of Atoka, OK, Damion Crooms of Atoka, OK, Scotty Gage of Atoka, OK, Tim Riley of Ada, OK; special son, Samuel Nurilo of Atoka, OK; along with great nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Adell and Naydein Louella (Greenwood) Brooks; brothers, Leonard Herman Brooks, David Lee Brooks, Tony Lee Brooks, Adell Brooks, Eugene Leonard Brooks, Phill Lee Brooks; grandparents, Blanche and Henry Greenwood, Mose and Lettie Brooks; aunts, Delores Greenwood, JoAnn Walker, Ruth Brooks; uncles, Jack Donald Greenwood, Buford Greenwood Sr., Henry Peter Greenwood, Herman Greenwood.
