Wilma Faye (Hurt) Allen, age 78, was raised in Stringtown, OK, lived in Ulysses, KS many years and later moved back to Stringtown before spending her final year in Edmond, OK, was born on Monday, July 10, 1944, to Lonnie "Bill" and Cordie (Tisdale) Hurt, at Stringtown, OK. Wilma passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022 at Edmond, OK. She graduated from Stringtown High School. Wilma was a housewife and homemaker. She worked at Dairy Queen for a little while and enjoyed getting to meet and visit with all the different people. She married Eugene Allen on Saturday, August 27th, 1960 at Atoka Baptist Church. They enjoyed 61 years of marriage before his passing on October 17, 2021. Wilma was a longtime member of Stringtown Baptist Church. She enjoyed QVC shopping, was a collector of cook books and recipes, enjoyed traveling and loved taking her grandchildren with her, and loved all her animals.
Wilma is survived by her children, Freddie Allen of Maud, OK, Debbie Howard of Lakin, KS; grandchildren, Misty Allen of Edmond, OK, Jared Allen of Hayes, KS, Christina Allen of Sayre, OK, Steven Howard of Laking, KS, Donna Moxley of Lakin, KS; great grandchildren, Riley Wynn and wife Raegan of Edmond, OK, Katerina Howard, Chrissy Howard, Gabriel Moxley, Chele Howard, Nancy Faye Howard; great great grandchildren, Kiana Smith, Sawyer Wynn, Lainey Wynn, Josie Wynn; sisters, Katherine Hayes of Stringtown, OK, Billie Robinson of Bowie, TX, Linda Snead of McAlester, OK; along with neices, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Cordie (Tisdale) Hurt; husband, Eugene Allen; brothers, Gerald Hurt, William Hurt, Charles Hurt; sisters, Ann Sharp, Iva Mae Gribble, Gladys Hurt, Geraldine Loudermilk; great granddaughter, Alexandria Moxley.
