Winfred Dale Evans, age 85, a longtime Atoka, OK resident, was born on Sunday, March 22, 1936, to Willard and Alberta (Chitwood) Evans, at Atoka, OK. Winfred passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at his home in Atoka, OK.
He attended public grade school. Winfred was a truck driver and was a worker for Atoka County from where he retired.
Winfred proudly served his country in The Army. He married DeLinda (Woods) on Friday, February 27th, 1970 at Durant, OK. They celebrated 50 years of marriage before her passing on December 15, 2020. Winfred was of the baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being in the outdoors and loved spending time with his family.
Winfred is survived by his sons, Dennis Evans and wife Wanda of Virginia, Charlie Evans and wife Jillian of Atoka, OK; daughter, Amanda Deaton and husband Russell of Atoka, OK; 7 grandchildren; along with other relatives and many dear friends.
Winfred was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Alberta (Chitwood) Evans; wife, DeLinda Evans; numerous siblings. ******************************************************************************
