OBITUARY
Woodrow "Hotshot" Valesta Davis Jr., age 71, an Atoka, OK resident was born on Sunday, April 27, 1947, to Woodrow Valesta Sr. and Elma Lee (Burton) Davis, in Cleveland, OH. Hotshot passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019 in Oklahoma City, OK. He graduated from Atoka High School in 1965. Hotshot was a truck driver and proudly served his country in the Marines during the Vietnam Conflict. He married Marilyn Davis on Monday, April 27th, 2013 at Atoka, OK. They had 5 wonderful years together. Hotshot enjoyed watching ballgames, spending time with family and his dog Thunder.
Hotshot is survived by his wife, Marilyn Davis of the home; daughters, Robin Ayres and husband Robbie of Los Angeles, CA, Nartosha Davis of Los Angeles, CA, Lori Davis of Atoka, OK, Leila Rucker of Los Angeles, CA; son, Stacy Wayne Davis of Oklahoma City, OK; stepson, Shannon Davis of Atoka, OK, stepdaughter, Ashley Lennox of Lawton, OK; mother--in-law, Cecil Davis of Atoka, OK; sisters, Kathleen Copeland of Detroit, MI, Gwendolyn Davis of Dallas, TX; sister in law, Clara Pruitt of Wichita Falls, Tx; brothers in law, Melvin Davis of Wichita Fallas, TX, Hank Davis and wife Kay of Oklahoma City, OK; 11 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Hotshot is preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Valesta Sr and Elma Lee (Burton) Davis and sisters, Henryetta Diggs, Janetta Black.
