Worden Leigh Detty, age 73, a longtime Lane, OK resident, was born on Monday, March 5, 1945, to Glen Worden and Jessie Marie (Guard) Detty at Omaha, NE. Worden went to meet his Lord on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Atoka, OK.
He graduated from North Platte High School in Nebraska in 1963. Worden was a bus driver for Atoka and Lane Public Schools, worked for Beechaircraft and Ethan Allen.
He married Phyllis Ann (Peeler) on Saturday, August 21st, 1971 at Atoka, OK. They have enjoyed 47 years together.
Worden was a member of Lane Baptist Church and Christian Motorcycle Association. He enjoyed attending church, reading his Bible, and riding his Harley.
Worden is survived by his wife, Phyllis Ann Detty of the home in Lane, OK; brother in law, Jerry Peeler of Lane, OK; sisters in law, Shirley Sanders of Atoka, OK, Geneva Belcher of Sweet Home, OR; God given children, John and Sharon Holcomb of Lane, OK; God given grandchildren, John Ashley Holcomb and wife Ana Mari of Harmony, OK, Tadd Holcomb and wife Lindsey of Lane, OK, Hali Pollard and husband Dusty of Tushka, OK, Kyle Holcomb and wife Mallory of Harmony, OK; God given great grandchildren, Presley Conn of Tushka, OK, River Holcomb of Harmony, OK, Lila Holcomb of Lane, OK, Renly Holcomb of Harmony, OK, Bradford Pollard of Tushka, OK; niece, Joye Angel and husband Kevin of Atoka, OK; nephew, Charlie Sanders and wife Lacy of Atoka, OK; great nieces, Shaye and Hope Angel of Atoka, OK; along with other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Worden is preceded in death by his parents, Glen Worden and Jessie Marie (Guard) Detty; grandmother, Florence Brooks; grandfather, Jess Guard; step father, David Candea; in laws, Ed and Sallie Peeler; brothers in law, Harold Peeler, Joe Sanders, Harlan Belcher; niece, Cindy Sanders; great nephew, Drew Naranjo.
