Wylie Neal Hokett, age 72, a longtime Wapanucka, OK resident, was born on Sunday, October 7, 1945, to Carl and Lillie (Hyde) Hokett, at Caney, OK. Wylie passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Durant, OK. He attended Odessa High School. Wylie was a electrician for the oilfield.
Wylie proudly served his country in The Marines during the Vietnam War. He married Cathy. Wylie was of the baptist faith. He enjoyed reading (old books) and watching television, especially old western movies.

Wylie is survived by his siblings, Shirley Bushong of Odessa, TX, Greta Campbell and husband Johnny of Antlers, OK, JD Hokett and wife Lisa of Wapanucka, OK, Barbara Peoples of Ardmore, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friend.s

Wylie is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Lillie (Hyde) Hokett; wife, Cathy Hokett; son, Joey Hokett; siblings, Tillman Hokett, Nina Johnson, Ina Pruitt; brother in law, Jim Bushong.
