Zachary "Zack" Curtis Pettigrew, age 27, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident, was born on Sunday, November 10, 1991, to Gary Curtis and Leona (Golden) Pettigrew, at Durant, OK.
Zack passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at his home in Atoka, OK. He attended Atoka High School.
Zack was a rancher and worked for a little while as a highliner. Zack was baptized and saved as a young man. He enjoyed working on vehicles, driving 4-wheelers, shooting guns, fishing, aggravating family and friends, being with his family and most especially spending time with his son.
Zack is survived by his son, Axle Curtis Pettigrew of Atoka, OK; father, Gary Pettigrew and wife Staci of Atoka, OK; mother, Leona Ferguson and husband Robert of Mangum, OK; sisters, Marissa Pettigrew of Atoka, OK, Cari Shelton and husband Chris of Bennington, OK, Destiny Pettigrew of Atoka, OK; brothers, Rowdy Pettigrew and Baylie Wilson of Atoka, OK, Kacey Chittum of Atoka, OK, Kaleb Stephens of Atoka, OK, Trey Stephens and wife Lindsay of Lane, OK; grandmother, Evelyn Golden of Mangum, OK; mother of his son, Talia McCarty of Stringtown, OK; grandparents, Carolyn Sheffield and husband Delbert of Lane, OK; Buddy Ferguson and wife Roberta of Mangum, OK, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Zack is preceded in death by his grandparents, A.C. and Sylvia Pettigrew; grandfather, Johnny Golden; nephew, Hayden Curtis Ray Wade; cousin, Danon Coles; uncle, Del Shawn Sheffield; aunt, Susan Pettigrew.
